Our Approach
Speaking and listening skills are the foundation for reading and writing. Children learn the speech sounds of their language by listening to those around them. They begin to imitate and spontaneously produce the sounds within their language. They combine these sounds to produce words, phrases, sentences and conversation to communicate their needs, wants, and ideas to others. Children and adults who struggle to hear and produce these sounds, will also struggle to read and write: and may lack the appropriate social skills to interact with others to form meaningful personal and professional relationships.
A speech pathologist’s role is to diagnose and treat such disorders and delays in communication that involve listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Communication disorders may occur at any age, or may be present at birth..

All services are confidential and occur in a nurturing and supportive environment by a certified, licensed, and experienced speech-language pathologist.
With national certification and licenses in three states, Loretta can also provide therapy to both children and adults who have:
- Childhood apraxia of speech
- Hearing Impairment(s)
- Dyslexia and other reading disorders
- Autism or Asperger’s Disorder
- Articulation and/or language disorders
- Limited Social Skills
- Swallowing Disorders
- Voice disorders
